5 Days of depression and MIND.SE will contact me in 3 days???

I am BiPolar and have been in and out of hospitals for 30 years

For the first time ever, I cut 2 days in a row, because the depression is so bad

I emailed mind.se but it will be 3 days before they contact me.
3 days !!!   3 days… is this a joke…

All I can think of is dying and it has never been this bad ….

Sweden needs to do more for mental care and treat it for what it is, which can be a terminal disease

I just might be out of time

Mind.se is not a site if you need immediate help. They do put links and phone numbers to  suicide hotlines etc if you feel it’s that bad. There is even a “translate” option at the top of the homepage if swedish is a problem. Tho it’s Google translate so don’t expect too much. Don’t blame mind, it’s doing a good job. You are just on the wrong page if you need help right now.

Seems like a futile situation and in my opinion, they are not doing a good job, when people want someone to talk to and are out of luck…

No wonder the suicide rate is what it is…
Quite shameful calling themselves a suicide helpline, when 1500 plus people (3 per day) die of suicide and this is the only thing they turn to

Take a look at whats available at 2 or 3 am…

I did not say you should not be here, i said don’t expect immediate help. There are acute psychiatric lines, tho i can imagine they are quite long.
The swedish mentalt healthcare really is the worst however.
But seeing how we take on more refugees than we can handle it’s not that surprising that there is just not enough staff in healthcare, schools etc..

I 100% agree with you and I also have witnessed that when Swedish people starts asking for help on Twitter and facebook, that they are suddenly inundated with Middle East replies that joining their beliefs will be be an instant cure.

BTW, this is not hates speech, its the reality of the consequences of what is happening and how the system begins to fail

Yeah, and i don’t really care who comes and who goes. It’s not a matter of which people are here, just that there are to many for us to handle. We don’t have an infinite pool of money. If there are more people that need school, healthcare, financial support etc and not jobs or enough tax money from people that have work then everything is going to suffer. It’s a very well balanced scale. But the only thing people see if you say the immigration is to big is that your a racist. Which really isn’t the point. It’s not about who comes, it’s about how many.

And a bit of a separate issue. I mean i understand that people in the middle east have a hell right now. But people in africa has been starving and dying from kinda simple diseases since always i guess. Why are we helping people that face a new threat when we have people that has faced another threat for so long?

I left sweden in 1970… I just came back and I dont know anyone or speak the language

An “exit bag” is definitely looking like the way to go…

I have never ever been this low!

Have you got in contact with your doctor to check your medication? I am bipolar too and I pendle fast and am told to contact psyk and talk medicin when I don’t feel normal. It is important since I can get to up very easily if I take antidepressent but I need them when I am down.
